Guys I'm still on the fence about the Telltale complete pack. I'm only interested in it for the Sam & Max and Monkey Island. I don't really care about their other stuff which is why I'm hesitant to plop down the money for like 4 games I don't even care about.
But at the same time, its only 50 bucks for a few games that individually are worth like 70 dollars when combined. I just don't know. Its been so long since I've even played an adventure game of that type that I don't even know if I would enjoy it or appreciate them.
I wa about the same, wanted S3 for Sam and Max and kinda the Monkey Islands. I decided to just go with the Monkey Island remakes, if you preorder SoMI2, you get 1 for free. I feel this was the right choice for $10.
Ok so I guess I do need to save something for future purchases. I'll wait on the Telltale stuff for now. Maybe Christmas will be good to me. And its not like I'm lacking in games anyway. Between Tropico and King's Bounty, I'm set for a looong time.

Wow, and I thought I'd been buying a bit too many things for my meager time and finances...
Commandos Pack
Darkstar One
The Witcher
Aquanox Pack
Sid Meier's Civ IV
Titan Quest Gold
Thief: Deadly Shadows
Star Wars: Empire at War
Freedom Force Pack
...but of course being a jobless university student, what I think as "too much" appears to be way under everyone else's :P. Anyone know if Star Wolves are good games? To round out the expenses and all.
Is anyone else having problems with JC2? It's just a permanent loading screen right now... At least it's looping the old school james bond music and telling me how to cook a grenade though

I had that happen. When I restarted Steam it downloaded some more and after that it was fine.

You already own Thief 3, I presume? Or else you hate stealth games?
Else, why do you not have Thief 3 in that list?
I have the first two games and have not beaten them yet. I actually love the concept but told myself I would not pick it up until I beat the other two first.
I know it is only three dollars but I am betting that it will be on sale again around Christmas.
So I think I'm done now, barring some weird break down wherein I buy the Witcher for the third time or something. With that said I don't think I came out of all of this too badly:
THQ Pack
Blood Bowl
King's Bounty
Thief
Jagged Alliance 2/Disciples 2 combi pack
Beat Hazard
Star Wars Empire at War
P.B Winterbottom
Bioshock
Shatter
Osmos
Commandos Pack
King Arthur Pack
Flotilla
Super Laser Racer
AvP Classic
Ghost Master
Puzzle Kingdoms
So my grand total is just shy of £80 and, with the exception of Blood Bowl, I regret nothing so far. However I might not be done since the Witcher is still tempting me, as is the Freedom Force pack. all I have to do is be strong for another 7 hours and 13 minutes. I can do that---right?
You know, I almost beat Trine already in a friend's house, but I'm considering buying it for myself too. And still looking at Star Wolves and Space Rangersbefore the sale ends, but it's hard to find reviews or opinions on them...
Caved and bought the witcher instead of JC2, that's the second game I've bought because of this thread(s). You guys are as bad as steam.

Oh God, Steam, what have you done to me with cheap Borderlands? I was going to put an hour or so in and maybe gain a level and then there was was miniboss rakk called Rakkanishu and he dropped a cracked sash and that is the best thing ever and now it's 5 AM.
At least I don't have any work scheduled for at least a week.
I've just about talked myself into Majesty Gold (not sure my lappy could run Majesty 2 well) and the Space Rangers pack. So there's another three games + expansion for another $11.23.
Which, by the way, leads me to: How many L4D2 noobs are here? Because here's one (once it finishes downloading.)
Hopefully a bunch. You can find some info to get started here and the PA chatroom to start up L4D2 games is right this way.

Okay I added this all up and assuming the sales prices are still the same as they were, dude spent over 500 bucks on the sale
I mean I thought I did bad, but holy shit dude. holy shit.
$500!?
That more than what I've spent on Steam combined. (Despite whatever the Steam Calculator might say.)
Holy Mother...
A lot of those games were daily deals, so probably purchased at even lower prices than what they list at currently.
Still a lot either way though.

Cracked and bought Men of War, Cryostasis and the Chrome pack
Was a great sale.. I spent too much though. Got The Witcher out of it, which I'm enjoying the fuck out of... so win for me.
But the goddamn savings!!! once they're gone I know I'll regret not buying it for the next 6 months. I regret nothing!!
Thief 3
Commandos pack (bad mistake, can't hack in widescreen in steam version)
L4D2 (as part of a four pack)
Puzzle Kingdoms
I came out pretty cheap, over all. I really wanted Warband to go on sale, though. I'd have bought it if it dropped under a tenner.
Husband:
Civ IV compilation pack
Red Faction Guerilla
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
Myself:
Avencast
Gothic 3
The Guild 2 Pirates of the Europian seas
Cryostasis

Daughter:

Max and the Magic Marker
Total damage just under €50, I believe.
(I'm going through the list of sales one more time though to see if I've missed anything.)

Thief
Jagged Alliance 2/Disciples 2 combi pack

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
Alright, silly question time, how does Borderlands run? Nice and efficient? I've got a Core 2 Duo T5900 2.2GHz, Radeon HD3450 256MB and 3GB RAM.
(Edit: I can't rely on Can You Run It; it always vastly overestimates my very modest graphics card, for some reason.)
Steam | XBL
But it's $27USD in NZ while on special, so they lost my money.
Otherwise picked up:
Thief 3
Saint Row 2 (regret this)
Indigo Prophecy (seems interesting)
Ghost Master (mindless fun for $1)
Thank goodness it's almost over.
Hopefully a bunch. You can find some info to get started here and the PA chatroom to start up L4D2 games is right this way.
