Um... that's how a LOT of businesses work. You want to partner up? Then share the profits. Besides, we're talking about an industry that inspired the term "moneyhat."
No, my story's still the same, not sure why you're having a hard time grasping it. Yes, having a "Sony" logo within their phone encourages business to their competitors, besides the fact that it siphons money to Sony even if they don't have a competing game app. It's not pettiness, it's simply not encouraging people to give money to your direct competitors if you can at all help it. For instance, a Sony Vaio can't do without Microsoft Windows because there's really no alternative. And HTC doesn't need Suite in any shape or form.
Which is very strongly linked to Sony.
So basically, you're saying "I win?" Very classy. Like I've said before, the best way to drop the argument isn't to make 47 additional points and then say to drop it, it's to say "let's just drop it" and leave it at that.
Could it be that Zone of the Enders is back?!
I really like MGS, but even I know its time for ZOE.
PSN: ShinyRedKnight Xbox Live: ShinyRedKnight
What is this shit? Are you in D&D? No? Then just drop it.
Just posting this because I think its one of the better videos.
Nice thread too!
Great OP too. :^:
"I think I can comment on this because I used to live above the Baby Doll Lounge, a topless bar that was once frequented by bikers in lower Manhattan."
Well, excuse me for being curious as to how Sony's going to get Suite on non-Sony phones.
Although honestly, the new OP looks great and was sorely needed. I promise I'm not being sarcastic at all on that one.
I don't think having a stalking argument will inform you how Sony is going to get suite on no sony phones. The fact that it is an android app should make it self explanatory how it would work. Much like my magazine apps, kindle/kobo apps on iPad but with games.
"I think I can comment on this because I used to live above the Baby Doll Lounge, a topless bar that was once frequented by bikers in lower Manhattan."
Well, no, it doesn't. Is it an app that can be downloaded, or an app that has to be pre-installed on each machine? We really don't know at this point, and I think both approaches have their potential advantages/problems and affects on app sales and the encouragement of development on Suite.
Thanks (to you and Rehab). The complete lack of direct feed videos or even screens made it pretty hard to do much but I tried to find some decent videos at least.
Speaking of which, I'm really interested to see more Gravity Daze. The art style made me think it was a RPG but then they pulled out the crazy Bayonetta-esque gravity. Looks cool.
Was I the only one who didn't see the pattern on the tack pad until just now? Looks pretty
Have they shown the actual game cartridges yet? I'm curious as to how big they are going to be.
But this one is so well informed!!!
I have no doubt that Sony will price it at like $400 and sit there wondering why it isn't flying off the shelves, however.
Yeah I only really noticed it when I got those pictures. I mean, I'd seen it beforehand but I clearly wasn't paying attention because I'd just figured it was the front with the pattern on-screen.
As for the game cards, yeah they showed them in the presentation. Here:
Maybe this will make MGS POOPS playable too.
I mean for me in Nz hardly any one has a psp and if they do the likely hood of them having the same game is vanishingly small. I have one friend at work with a psp and monster hunter, we've never managed to play, mostly because I think monster hunter is not to his taste.

Switch - SW-3699-5063-5018
I mean, the PS3 itself is going for 299.99, right?
Ah, looks about the same size as a DS/3DS cartridge. Can anyone guess the capcacity based on the size? With the currently technology, 16GB wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility, right?
I guess that means that the thing on the bottom left of the back of the unit is probably where the memory cards will go.
edit: If we're making guesses at the cost, I'll go with two launch SKUs, at $350 and $400.
If you're still hoping for MS Pro Duo support, don't hold your breath. Sony's stopped using it on everything else, it's very likely that the PSP2 is going to be using M2 as well (or possibly even a newer format)
Probably never
Judging by the XMB, UI design is not their strong suit
A lot of people like the XMB mind you, and I'm really hoping that it's still an UI choice
Nah, I wasn't. They've said it will be a propreitry format, and I'm pretty sure they said it was a new one as well. I was mostly just curious as to where the memory card actually goes.
Considering over here the psp3000 and the psp go are now 319 nzd I'm hoping it's an indication that Sony is going with the old price techqniue used with the ps one and under cut their competition. Or at the very least match the 3DS price
"I think I can comment on this because I used to live above the Baby Doll Lounge, a topless bar that was once frequented by bikers in lower Manhattan."
This is a good joke
I would have laughed at it if it didn't make me sad
So maybe that actually makes it not such a good joke, I'm not sure
Yeah i'm sad the XMB is going, it wasn't the greatest UI imaginable but it was leagues above what microsoft and nintendo have imho

The circular glossy balls just look like something a Web 2.0!!!!1!!one undergrad in 2006 would throw together with Photoshop; completely opposed to the whole ultra-modern thing Sony usually goes with.
Hahah. That's kind of a speculative ass-pull, but I hope to hell you're right. ZoE is awesome.
Yea, me too.
