but cowboy bebop just has much fucking style it's hard to compete with
I'd say Champloo had style too.
It was just a bit of a different style each time. I felt it kept the show fresh, between myth arc episodes (much as CB did).
oh, it totally does, but cb has more
it's fusing so many disparate elements - space opera, jazz, sprinklings of most western 20th century counter cultures, etc while still covering a lot of anime tropes
sc is doing that to an extent, but I think it's pretty aptly just a samurai anime with a hip hop soundtrack
