For a good while I liked it quite a bit. At one point, I was watching the anime with my brother, because I liked it and wanted to show it to him, because I thought he would as well.
Then, I’m not sure what it is. Around the time we got to the arc that introduced Wendy, I started feeling embarrassed about it. And this wasn’t my first time getting that far in the story; I’d read the comic well past that part. Maybe it was another example of me losing faith in the medium after SAO? There was a time after that when I was just seeing problems everywhere. Whatever it is, all at once I could only see the problems, mostly with it being horny way too often, and some of the stuff about it being repetitive. I just didn’t want to watch any more and didn’t watch the next episode the next day. I haven’t since.
And I feel kinda sad about that? Like, it had been a thing I enjoyed, and I’m not sure if I’d like it again if I went back, or if I’d just call myself a hypocrite for it.
I went on a Fairytale manga binge: I was deployed but not working: if you all remember sequestration in 2013 the Air Force basically stood down for a few months, and my days were basically food-gym-food-nap-drink-food-sleep. It was depressing. Internet was a hot commodity with everyone wanting to FaceTime with their families etc, so I would just download a ton of manga during the night and read it the next day. I got up to chapter 200 maybe? I honestly couldn’t tell you what happened past maybe the first chapter. I have very little recollection of that time actually.
I’d like to watch the new Fruits Basket but I have also forgotten nearly everything about the old Fruits Basket (except that I enjoyed it) so I’m wondering if I should watch that again first in order to compare the two
I'm not familiar with the original adaptation but I've heard nothing but "this is so much better than the old anime it's not even funny."
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

The blood battle whatever anime had a fuckin amazing one for season 1.
And FMA Brotherhood had a great one for it's second to last season.
Blood battle sounds like Deadman Wonderland
