There’s a current anime (Dice Club, I think it was?) that’s about a group of girls playing tabletop games (not RPGs, but stuff like Marrakech).
It is so badly paced it hurts
board game club. yeah its pretty slow moving. and the games they are playing arent really big named stuff. I kinda expected it to be more of a commercial for a bunch of popular games (that they hoped to sell more in japan). instead we got 'introverted girl realizes her life problems can be solved by games'. which isnt really the case.

I've heard of the cockroach game and seen isanbul. the last two games they played i was not familiar with. I see lots of games on the shelves of the store that i recognize, but none of them are getting table time. i agree its a cute show, i just expected a small amount of cute, and a lot of board gaming, whereas we are getting the reverse.
