Thanks so much @Perrsun ! All of your gifts were amazing!
Everything was nicely wrapped and had notes explaining stuff! Lots of very big pictures below:
So, I've been on the fence about getting one of these 8bitdo controllers for the last year or so but holy shit are they amazing! Feel super awesome to hold, like a cross between a dual shock and snes controller, but better. The HDMI cable was actually super timely because I was just about to go buy a new one, so thanks!
It's bastion's bird! I think this guy's probably going to find a home in my office
A odyssey bowser amiibo and an overwatch blind-box that ended up being a sombra!
As you can see, my current wallet is literally mid-disintegration. Thank you so much for the replacement! It even has SCIENCE! which should act as a handy reminder of what I should spend my time on
Perssun also got me two more switch games!
These ones weren't on my radar but I'll definitely be giving them a spin with my fancy new controller
Angels and Demons! In my undergrad I was huuuge into Blind Guardian and Iced Earth, but never got this album! Thanks a ton!
Also, some mario phone/laptop/switch/whatever decals and some pins!
There are also a set of cool (double?) d6's which I didn't get a picture of.
Holy shit Perrsun! That's a lot of really fucking cool stuff! Thanks so much!

I will out myself as @Tofystedeth's Satan - Tofy there is more to come, I just need to finish collecting some local oddities before I can post it to you! I hope the cat bed is a success and the donation momentary made you feel better about the state of the world. Y'know. Momentarily. And hold tight for the final gifts!
"Sandra has a good solid anti-murderer vibe. My skin felt very secure and sufficiently attached to my body when I met her. Also my organs." HAIL SATAN
I want to preapologize to my Satanee for how long it took me to get everything out, but between a death in the family, buying a house, getting sick, and other factors (like fuckin' this picture, what the shit), everything is sussed out.
Seriously this snip is from January 20th at 8:35 am. So that item will either come "Tomorrow" or "January 25th" and I'll be fucked if I know which one it is.

I organised the last gifts for my Satanee today, and completely forgot to do the gift receipt and note thing for the last one. Whoops!
Oh well, it's not as if I keep it a big secret every time I get to be involved in this. I just love giving people presents!

I tried to update this but I may have broken things. No more editing in-browser for me!
I haven’t received anything yet @Brolo but my city was hit with a huge blizzard and declared a state of emergency so the postal service hasn’t been running for four days. No idea when mail delivery starts up again.

Ah, yeah your Satan has something coming for you, but yeah this one might squeeze in a bit after January.
Don't worry, we'll make sure you get something! In the meantime, hope all is going well in NL and that you and yours are safe!

Argh shit, I forgot I built my Lego set that Rankenphile got me! There's a cool half-track exploration vehicle, a female unit commander with a radio, a snow bike, and a pack dog, a guy taking core samples, and a videographer recording a polar bear as it watches them all from the safety of its cave:

The cat bed is very successful. Levy has spent a significant portion of each day since it arrived ensconced in it. Dinner didn't get a chance to try it out until like a week ago.

Because of chains and my liking to see long ones, I'll say it: I got ladybug. Merry Satansmas!
Having just finished properly returning home from PAX South, after spending the night at parents place, I find two boxes from Amazon sitting outside my apartment door. Definitely not ones I ordered though, far too heavy for that.
After I finish getting all my stuff unpacked from the car I turn my attention to these two boxes, carefully placed to not reveal the address label so I don't have to do editing shenanigans in Imgur. After some consideration I opt to open the smaller of the packages first, revealing:
A book of Indian recipes and a sealed jar of whole coriander seeds! And to go with them, a note
I actually can't tolerate much spicy, my limit is basically sriracha level, but I'm sure when I make some of these recipes they'll be tasty all the same after a bit of adjustment. On to the next box!
Mortar and pestle, whole cumin seeds, and something called ground amchur? Opened the box to take a look and it appears to be dried mango ground into a fine powder, sounds tasty! And then another note suggesting even more is on the way? Along with an even more important detail.
Revealing my Satan is none other than @Pinfeldorf! Thank you very much! The mortar and pestle alone will be plenty useful for grinding spices for a long time now that I'm getting back into actually making real food with a new pressure cooker. The book of Indian recipes is also very neat, I can already see several recipes I want to try and it's got little sections on how spices pair together, what to look for in certain ingredients, cultural notes, personal notes, and all kinds of other useful tips and tricks for someone whose full extent of Indian food has been massaman curry from the Thai place and other people talking about naan in the Bad Food thread because I'm an uncultured schmuck.
Oh yeah there is...I think Amazon decided to spread shit out into 3 more packages coming. I'm glad I didn't send you anything spicy, I didn't know your spice tolerance was low, but you can still make some delicious stuff with what is on the way! Amchur is some magical shit, for sure.
I received another couple of packages! Inside were:
Classic movies my uncultured ass has not yet seen! And a rechargeable flashlight, which may prompt me to go on evening walks like I used to, without worrying about wasting batteries!
Thank you, Satan!

That torch is nice and compact but on its highest setting it's like a truck headlight, and rechargeable is best. I wanted to got you and Mori those movies a few years back but never got around to it, they've got their problems (Clint being a piece of shit IRL being one of them), but they're absolute classics. Genre-defining, even.

A mysterious package has arrived. Updates to follow, potentially next week as I'm very busy this weekend.
I have received yet another item of what I can only assume to be demonic origin.
A cool book about food! This will go nicely with my new pan, and it’s good because I’m kind of terrible about cookbooks (I make 1 or 2 recipes and then forget about them) but this looks like a book about the theory and science of cooking, which I can then apply to ALL cooking!

If this is from one of you, thank you
I'm glad it finally got through!
i read the stuff about you really reading cookbooks for the recipes and I thought this would be kinda perfect since you still like cooking. The first half is basically a cooking course and it is wonderful. There's all sorts of stuff that's new, but then also will probably explain a lot of ideas you've had about cooking.
The recipes themselves are kinda neat, and i like that pretty much all of them are "hey, here's a recipe but if you switch a few things you get a completely different recipe that uses the same underlying techniques"

Salt fat acid heat is a legit book.
Like you know these are all important, but it really does a great way of retraining your thought process to critically analyse a dish and think how to improve it by examining different vectors to help balance it.
Ill post photos when i get to work but gosh this cookbook is very very canadian
ok so because i don't know how to resize images on my phone anymore and because my phone now has difficulty connecting to any computer i'm just posting a photo from the internet:
it is
very intriguing
one of the chefs and owners of the restaurant is also french and i can't wait to show this book to my mum who's french and get her take on the cooking there.
The Joe Beef guys are some of the top chefs in Montreal, and I've heard great things about it both as a sort of cultural document of the whole Quebecois vibe and as an insane collection of project foods; I believe they even take a small section for aboriginal foods of the area, too, if the reviews I read were not mistaken
But with that the cookbook collection is complete
I hope you enjoy your culinary trip across North America!!

thank you so much again
they seem like a real institution and i've had a lot of fun poring over the book last night
Two more things arrived the other day and I was holding off in case there was any more, but after seeing nothing since I'm gonna let my Satan tell me if I'm missing anything.
Garam masala and ground raw turmeric to go with the previous Indian spices and cookbook! Gonna see about adapting some tandoori chicken for the pressure cooker next week, see how it turns out with all these fresh spices.
Yep Madican that's everything! Super glad Amazon couldn't put it all in one box to make things easy.

I got home last night to find a surprisingly heavy little box sitting on my porch. I didn’t remember ordering anything that’d fit it’s description so I cracked it open and behold.
A god damned five pound lump of Monster clay, a legitimately amazing sculpting material that holds detail incredibly well, is easy to smooth and shape and is wax based so it works well with silicon and other mold making materials.
Holy shit I can’t wait to make some crazy cool stuff with this. Thank you sincerely, @Slacker71
