Seriously read all of Chew. It's up to 5 volumes now and they still retail at only $12.99.
Never read JtB but I've heard great things, same for New 52 Animal Man, and definitely read the main Batman series by Scott Snyder but I don't know about the other Bat family books.
Batman is stuck in a barn with a several owls. They don't like how he chose the bat to be his symbolic animal to frighten criminal. They try to drive him insane by hooting for hours. :twisted:

You'll probably have to wait till near the end of the year for softcovers. DC is terrible at that for some reason. Even the stories that are going straight to trade format like Swamp Thing are taking forever to come out.

Joe the Barbarian is pretty good, not Morrison's best but still a good read
Animal Man is pretty great, as is its sister title Swamp Thing
the Court of Owls story in the main Batman title is awesome, Snyder does great work on both Batman and Swamp Thing
