Having Boyd Gordon as your most consistent scoring threat is also a bit problematic.
RNH needs to get healthy, and Hall needs to play up to his talent. Your D could go either way, and I think gets unfairly shitted on.

gordon really isn't our most consistent threat, he's just been the most consistent finisher so far. i'm fairly confident in saying he won't continue to score on 40% of his shots and that taylor hall and perron won't continue to shoot under 5%.
rnh is healthy and outside of a breakdown in the third period against the capitals has been playing extremely well. his pdo is 790. there is literally no player in the world who is going to look good on the stat sheet with a 790 pdo.
hall has 6 points in 7 games and is -7, with 2 of those games being the disastrous experiment at center where he was -5.
petry has been rock fucking solid on d. he's playing incredibly well. belov gets better with every nhl game. smid has been a bit of a disaster and jshultz is still hot garbage in his defensive zone. ference has been reliable but not incredible while nick shultz continues his descent towards early retirement.
yakupov has been a non factor, our 4th line has been a disaster outside of acton (who is still a not very good player) but they have a pdo around 1200 so people seen em good.
the best surprise has been arcobello. sure he wishes he could shoot the puck as hard as ryan smyth's wet noodle slappers, but he plays smart, makes great decisions and is consistently in position to score or putting someone else in that position.
As it happens, a friend of mine has been working on me to get NHL '14 (I do most of my games on the computer, so I'd have to get a console just for it) so I can join his league team. I'll bounce the idea off of him.
This is one of those things that hurts to finally admit because it's like the passing on of a childhood hero, but I really think Marty should be the back up to Schneider now.
There were just too many soft goals last night to lay the blame on anyone other than Marty.
Non-Devils fans see that stat and think 'Wow, that's really bad', Devils fans see it and think 'Bullshit we've taken 16 shots on the powerplay this year'.
what is going on with the avalanche I don't understand this
they have a PDO of 104.
the very definition of unsustainable.
the question was asked what the difference between the oilers and the avs were and the answer they got was "the avs young guys check." ignoring the fact that landeskog and mackinnon are two of the very worst possession players in the entire nhl.
the penguins should have won 15 - 0 nothing last night.

that post comes off as pretty negative towards the avs.
i don't think they are a bad team, but unless varlamov and giguere actually are the greatest goalie combo in the history of the nhl they are in for a monster regression.
They obviously won't keep up this level of play, but when you get guys to sell out on blocking shots like they did last night, you're gonna be competitive. Especially with the offensive skill they can put out.
The Pens still should have probably hung 4 on them if Giggy wasn't playing out of his mind, but the Avs did what they needed to in order to win last night. Good, solid, gutty hockey.

the game i watched they were absolutely destroyed and the stats back it up.
considering his past suspensions, the fact that he clearly targeted the head with his elbow and that eriksson is injured on the play, i really, really hope this is one of those 20 game suspensions.
eriksson stayed in buffalo for observation last night.

those are bad goalie save percentages.
The Devils put up a miracle run of 75 consecutive shut outs in the regular season and 16 in the play offs for the Stanley Cup, book it now.
That's pretty damn awesome.
I don't get credit for it though. : (
I had 5 skaters on Sunday to your zero. Goalie stats were already a sweep.
Of course it does.
Wow!
Not even mad that I didn't get a win with Jimmy Howard with it.
I wish our power play would come to life, however.
That was a very annoying game to go to. According to random fans, it's all the Penguins players' fault for not just willing in all those pucks.

Sharks doing nothing but forechecking in the 2nd period.
For the rest of the season I'll be willing to pick up your rival team's goalie for a modest fee.
So long Moulson, I shall be jettisoning you from my team with the force of a thousand John Scott elbows.
with tavares: 50%
chances of him being an actual good player: not good
