video game system has small game selection after 8 months, alert the fucking presses
three games from now until the end of the year worth getting
that's over a year after it launched
Eh, I count like 10, but I must have lower expectations.
And what is coming out that you are looking forward to this year besides MP3, Galaxy, and Brawl?
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (Q4)
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (November)
MySims (September)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (August 27)
Battalion Wars 2 (October 29)
Fire Emblem (November 5)
Super Mario Galaxy (November 12)
Super Smash Bros Brawl (December 3)
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (Fall)
OK, so 9 in total, 6 not counting the above mentioned three. And MySims is more for me and my girlfriend to have something to do together since she's a Sims maniac.

I'm interested in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, Mario Strikers Charged, Beautiful Katamari, Fire Emblem, and DBZ: BT3 off that gamefaqs list, besides the big Nintendo titles. My problem is there are too many games, I cant really afford them, and definitely dont have the time.
Edit: Oh I forgot about Nights, that looks groovy too.

Super Metroid was a great game. I think the best part was the beginning, though. Up to, I guess, the end of the first boss battle. By which I mean Kraid, not the Chozo statue fight.
Don't you just walk through an empty ship and then fight Kraid?
I liked where you get the super dash and just run through dudes and then flyyyyyyyy
you fight ridley
kraid is the massive fat green bugger who takes up the whole screen
Also, that's no ship...it's a space station.
Unless you mean the crashed vessel on the planet, but that's Phantom or Phantos or whatever, and that's the boss after Kraid.
Kraid is right around when you first discover Norfair (lava zone) and you can get the high-jump boots right before battling him, but you can't go much further because the heat of Norfair drains your energy unless you are wearing the Varia suit (which is what Kraid is guarding).
This reminds of the first time I played SM
I had no idea there was a breakaway wall to go fight Kraid, so I was stuck in Norfair for weeks
You know that section with the closing gates that requires the Speed Booster to get through? I managed to scrape past by morphballing at the last possible second
The next room was superheated, and there was no way back without Speed Boost or Power Bombs
I'm pretty much buying Brawl and nothing else for the Wii ever again.
It's a party system and the only party game I like is smash brothers.
I generally agree that there is a dearth of Wii games compared to the 360 but uh.. have you seen Mario Galaxy, that shit is going to be fucking amazing.
I havent bothered searching for a Wii since early release months, are they still nigh impossible to find? Granted I am in the city so I am sure I could find one if I really looked, but I am just curious.
yes
it's retarded
fuck you, nintendo
Ah If that is the case, I'll have to check around the stores nearby. Nintendo World is a stones throw away from my job, I'll go tomorrow after work and check it out. Isn't much out there that I want, I just want to have it so when there are games that I really I dont need to scramble for both.

yeah, 2-d metroids are pretty unforgiving with exploration

Hahaha, I did that my first time
Shit, I never beat Super Metroid until after Prime came out because I just kept getting stuck like that
What is this I hear about there being party games in the Wii version of FIFA 08?
I'm not against it per se, but if they'll screw up the game's presentation on the system and hope people will be playing their stupid minigames instead, then... then fuck EA...
Also, a Ronaldinho Mii? What? What in the fuck is this?
it's part of EA's family friendly approach or something. I forget what they call it. But basically in each version of their sports games, they'll have the normal game, but then there's also an option to simplify the controls, Wii Sports (like Wii Baseball and Wii Tennis) style.

whoops
i was going to say "4 games i'm interested in"

MySims (September)

That's... pretty stupid.

Yeah, what about SSB4?
technically yes
most of my gaming is alone
but i still play plenty of multiplayer games with friends
Smash Bros
Mario
BWii
Strikers
RE:UC
And I'll probably buy Phantom Hourglass. I don't really have extra money laying around, so one game a month is usually good enough for me.
If you want fun multiplayer, you should try Strikers. It's at least worth renting.
i'll give it a shot
my friends and i do enjoy Mario Power Tennis
doubt i'll pay $50 for it, though
And maybe the Katamari game depending on reviews.
tButts Strikers is out on the 30th

I only have the Wii and my shitty laptop, and that thing can't even play source games.
e: I just realized that applies to both the Wii and the laptop XDDDDDD
Same problem.
I would probably play my Wii more if it wasn't sitting next to a ps2, 360, and neo-geo.
Hahaha, I did that my first time

Im really intrigued by it

It really isn't.
Jesus I hope not, I was being facetious.
Strikers for the Gamecube is probably my favorite multiplayer game in quite awhile
four people on the same team is glorious

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU EA?
it's a nifty idea, at its core
