The current Aliens games all use the Runner Aliens from 3, the Working Joes from Alien Islolation, and even some of the more out there Alien variants from Colonial Marines, so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.

Which I always took as a side effect of the Marines being, well, Marines. Real-life military culture is big on jargon that goes back, in some cases, centuries. The jargon functions almost like shibboleths, useful for both creating in-group/out-group loyalty and for rudimentary opsec should need arise.
Makes a lot of sense that the initial encounters with the enemy would set the lexicon template for further interactions with em, that's not not how it tends to work in the military

I see, I took the comment to mean "They are only using stuff from the movie Aliens for all the franchise products," which I don't agree is the case. In terms of tone and dialogue callbacks, yeah, they're aiming for that for sure. Which... is literally the only good target to aim for, save Alien Isolation which had good cause to refer more specifically back to the first Alien instead.
Though I really doubt anyone here will be playing it, the second best Tour de France simulator is not the correct video in the OP.

Fwiw, Rock Band 4 continues to release dlc, so there’s a TON of new songs you can add to your next party.
And if you DO decide to get rid of your instruments, good condition controllers can fetch a decent amount considering no new ones have been made since 2016. (I think there are now ways to mod older controllers to work on PS4/Xbone but I haven’t looked into them myself.)

It's still not as bad as Lords of the Fallen. Back in 2014, there was a Dark Souls knock off of that name. It received a lot of criticism, but did well enough to fund a sequel. Surely Lords of the Fallen 2 or something, right? Nah. Get ready to play The Lords of the Fallen. Still, at least that's A sequel naming convention. Fast and Furious did it. Now we're pretty close to the game coming out, they renamed it to... Lords of the Fallen. The series is two games long, and they both have EXACTLY the same name.

On the other hand, Immortals of Aveum looks painfully generic and I don't think it's going to find a personality during that delay. It's marketing of "Call of Duty But Magic" turns my brain right off.
I almost wanted the opposite — a Paradox game pared down into a more engaging narrative with less mechanics to grapple with, not a Paradox game focused on more straightforward and legible mechanics — but this is pretty cool and seems built for multiplayer very intentionally.
Do you like the idea of mixing Fallout Shelter and Dungeon Keeper? 'Cause it's here baby. Build up the school, research spells and upgrades, summon new students from the void (oh yeah, did I not mention it, you're a ghost and your students are zombies, werewolves, mummies and other classic monsters), tutor them with your staff, then have them Graduate by sending them ever deeper into the abyss, fighting monsters and helping stave off corruption for a few more days.
Honestly I really enjoyed this one. You can hit the demo "end" in about 90 minutes, but they give you a whole new level of research unlocks if you want to spend a few extra hours playing about before bailing. Nice and meaty. I think the game could be a bit more handholdy with your objectives (they pop up on the upper left, but don't really draw attention to themselves) and there's enough meat on the bones that you'll want to carefully read what all your UI bits do, but man, if you want to build and run a magical school of dubious morality, here's your chance.
