Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Beefy. If you can't find something to like this week, well....I dunno.
The Dreamcast games are a rip-off in my opinion. I just bought Space Channel 5 Part 2 for the PC on Steam during the big SEGA sale for $2.24 and even that was like,..hmm, should I really be doing this?
as much as I love Space Channel 5 Part 2, $10 is a bit much.
That said, I would pay $10 for Shenmue. And the DC version of Shenmue II.

DLC is mostly the usual stuff, but there is the Peer Review add-on for Portal 2 which is free. So that's good.
No, SCEE are retards (like usual) and got the wrong version of the game. They never even bothered to check it, all the people running the store seemed to be under the impression that it was meant to be the Japanese version. Because they're incompetent. How incompetent you ask? Incompetent enough to have never heard of Chrono Trigger.

Hmm... I've been considering actually buying Arc the Lad at some point or another. Does it having been released for Plus members over there mean its likely that it will also hit over here, (US) or is one of those could go either way things?
Sideway: New York (Only on PSN / Demo Available) – Set against the gritty art culture in New York City, Sideway follows the adventures of Nox, a 2D rebellious young artist, as he navigates the 3D urban streets.
Metal Slug 2 (Also on PSP) — Released in 1998 by SNK, Metal Slug 2 is a side-scrolling military-action game. Players choose from Marco, Tarma, Eri and Fio, setting their sights on wiping out Morden’s newly remobilized Rebellion Army. Just like the original Metal Slug, players blaze a trail by shooting and jumping, but Metal Slug 2 adds a new arsenal for you to command, including a heavy machine gun, a shotgun and even a laser gun, providing players with rich variety.
The King of Fighters ‘96 (Also on PSP) – The annual tournament to discover the new King of Fighters brings 27 of SNKs most powerful fighters together, throws them into teams of three, and lets you help them duke it out for the right to be called the best. The King of Fighters 96 entrants include Terry and Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, Geese Howard, Wolfgang Krauser, and Mr. Big. There are nine pre-packaged teams, but with the custom-team option, you can create over 2900 of your own choosing.

@Blandlytasteful Unfortunately, it's hard, if not impossible, really, to know what's going to be offered with Plus if they don't announce it beforehand. The PAL storefront and the NA storefront work in completely different ways, so a discount over there isn't really indicative of a possible future discount over here or vice-versa, really.

Costume Quest is an awesome game, especially for the low price of nothing. Everyone here should download it and beat it at least once. It only takes a couple hours, and it's the perfect season for it.

i was really enjoying it, but then i hit a known bug that makes it impossible to finish the game that will never be patched. so i didnt finish the last third or so of the game, which is a bummer.
In between bouts of hating everything because I am achey, I bring to you the Update.

Destroy enemies with a slew of weapons and bear the yolk of Hardboiled’s past as his missions unlock the secrets to his mysterious past and illuminate the truth behind the penguin government. Master fowl play in the co-op campaign as a pair of Budgie commandos on a mission to save the general’s daughter. Many lives will be destroyed, countless penguins will die!
Payday – The Heist (Demo available) – Payday: The Heist is a high-intensity squad-based first person shooter where players take on the role of a hardened career criminal pulling death-defying heists in the never-ending pursuit of the next “big score.” Quick wit, an equally fast trigger finger and above all teamwork are the rules of engagement as players will embark on a spectacular crime spree of six heart stopping heists, including blasting their way through a downtown bank vault robbery, managing hostages in an armored car hijacking and even a midnight infiltration of a top-secret, high-security facility.
Dungeon Defenders – Developed by Trendy Entertainment, Dungeon Defenders throws action-RPG and tower defense gameplay into the proverbial blender to create a seamless mix of leveling, looting and high-action territorial combat for casual and core players alike. Dungeon Defenders features a lovingly-rendered watercolor art style and allows up to 4 players, online or locally, to take one of four distinct classes into fierce battle against ever-increasing waves of baddies and bosses across 15 arenas and multiple modes.
Real Steel (Demo Available) – In Real Steel, the player assumes the role of an owner of a fighting robot, and must battle against many different rival robots in an attempt to become champion of several levels of fighting tiers. Players earn in-game money by winning matches and, using this money, must periodically improve their robot, making it stronger and more fit to compete in the higher level match tiers. The vast amount of customizable parts and selectable equipment makes for over 100 million possibilities of custom robots!
Beat Hazard Ultra (Demo Available) – Welcome to a new experience in gameplay mechanics: Beat Hazard Ultra – Gameplay Powered by YOUR Music! Experience your music collection like never before with this intense music driven arcade shooter. Each of your songs will have its own unique ebb and flow based on the music. Power up your spaceship and watch as the music boosts your firepower. Unleash hell on the enemy ships when you max out with weapon pickups! Beat Hazard seamlessly mixes the love of gaming and music. Together they become greater than the sum of their parts.
Dead Space – Gamers step into a third-person sci-fi survival horror experience that promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological thrills and gruesome action. Set in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship’s crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive.
Ridge Racer 7: 3D Version – The PlayStation 3 driving experience Ridge Racer 7 is reborn as the arcade Ridge Racer 7 3D Version. The arcade attraction makes use of a special television that uses filters to make the images burst out at players once players don special 3D glasses to play the game. Now you can experience the amazing speed and on-the-edge control of Ridge Racer in a whole new dimension!
Technologically, the game makes use of a technique called Xpol. Developed in conjunction with NHK Technical Service, this technology promises 3D visuals without player fatigue. The technology works at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space – Sam & Max are on the job again in Season Two of their infamous adventure series! This downloadable package features five Sam & Max episodes chock full of adventure, crime-fighting, and chaos. The season starts with a giant battle robot attack and never lets up, taking our valiant crime-fighters on a gut-wrenching mission from the North Pole to Easter Island, from outer space to Hell and back.

So, Dead Space right in time for Halloween, as well as Payday - The Heist, finally. Anyone who bought all the things to get Payday for free still will, despite its late release, so no worries on that. Plus there's all other stuff here.
I'm interested in checking out what this Okabu is... Also want to check out the Need for Speed: The Run demo as well. Wonder if it is going to have an expiration date like the Hot Pursuit demo had.
So, hey, that Playstation Store thing updated.. Finally. Like, four hours late.

Pretty sure I read something about the GT5 DLC being delayed until next week.
So I'm guessing they never bothered to re-edit the release info and it probably won't show up today.
edit: So the GT5 stuff is available today. I guess I'm wrong again.

So today is the last day to get costume quest. Does anyone know until what time exactly? I'm hoping I still have time to grab it after class.
Edit: Better yet is there a way to queue it up from my phone?

Only in America, because someone at SCEA messed up (which hasn't stopped some people going "FUCK YOU POLYPHONY", while replying to a newspost that actually mentions it wasn't them). Everywhere else got the DLC yesterday. Even so, all the US players have to do to access the tracks at the moment is jump into an online room where the DLC is being used, since the actual content was in the Spec 2.0 update.
Also, Spa is fucking awesome, and is at least the second best track in the game, with only the Nordschleife possibly being any better.

Soooo... us in the USA get the update next week? I don't visit much outside of here (as in PA's forum not just this thread) so no idea that we were even delayed.
What time did the US market get updated? I was checking it around 6:00 PM PST and realized that I was looking at last week's update (after 15 minutes of surfing it of course).
Yeah, the US gets it next Tuesday, with the Honda NSX GT500 Stealth car thrown in as an apology, plus a GT Academy dynamic theme for the XMB, but only if you get the complete pack. That said, if you're grabbing the tracks and cars, you may as well get the whole lot. If you're only after the tracks... well, the only things you're really missing out on are some cool paints, The Stig's outfit, the X2011 (has about 10% more BHP), and 3 new karts.

Sweet, thanks for the head's up. Yeah I agree might as well pick up the entire package since I want the cars and tracks. I had to go look up who the Stig was since I never heard of him before your post.

Well, I figured out about Valkyria Chronicles. The selection under Playstation Plus shows 40 bucks, but if I go to it under all games, it has the discount. Mmph.

Yeah, it's actually because the bundle is a separate entry and doesn't replace the existing entries for Valkyria Chronicles 2 and the DLC, since it's only available for "A limited time". I meant to make a post about it in here last night (after making the one I made in the VC thread) but I probably got distracted with something instead.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan. Beefy. If you can't find something to like this week, well....I dunno.
Anyone have any real information to support that/make me sad?
anyone tried eufloria yet?
I agree, especially with games I've already played in the past. Gives you a reason to play them again.
Oh well at least we get a free copy of Arc The Lad. Oh it's in Japanese...

as much as I love Space Channel 5 Part 2, $10 is a bit much.
That said, I would pay $10 for Shenmue. And the DC version of Shenmue II.
You forgot about the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer.
Full PAL PSN Plus Update looks like this:
Full store update is a bit late this week it seems. I'll post it whenever it shows up.

Did EU originally get the ATL collection?
That seems like a bizarre release and an even more bizarre PS+ freebie.
DLC is mostly the usual stuff, but there is the Peer Review add-on for Portal 2 which is free. So that's good.
I'm pretty sure it's actually the English/NA version and the initial thing talking about it was a mistake. I'm not 100%, but pretty sure.
I was wondering if it would be more likely to be one of the free games some month soon.

In other news, sale on Valkyria Chronicles 2 (bundle?) coming up, definitely picking that up.
i was really enjoying it, but then i hit a known bug that makes it impossible to finish the game that will never be patched. so i didnt finish the last third or so of the game, which is a bummer.

DLC is the mostly the usual costume packs etc. for the usual games. If you're interested in Dynasty Warriors 7 or Champion Jockey: G1 you probably know more about that stuff than me already.
There is also:

So, Dead Space right in time for Halloween, as well as Payday - The Heist, finally. Anyone who bought all the things to get Payday for free still will, despite its late release, so no worries on that. Plus there's all other stuff here.

Blah blah. There is quite a ton of stuff to check out, and demos for a good portion of it so you can try before you buy. So find something you like! Remember, if you spend $60 in the store during October, you get $10 back in November. It's....kind of an okay thing? Money back is money back, at least.
