I really love star trek 1 v'ger, it's really one of my favorite star trek movies though others disagree v'ger was always crazy they need that in the new series of movies.
Yep, it was pretty cool.
Star Trek VI was my favourite before the reboot.
The new one is easily better than all the previous films combined.

Yeah. It's a phenomenon that shows up throughout all of human history. Almost everywhere we have found significant amounts of writing that we can translate, there has been something lamenting the loss of something from an earlier time or bitching about how the new generation isn't as good because they didn't have to do what we did, etc.
One room school houses with one teacher teach kids of various grade levels at the same time are obvious better than schools where kids are segregated by grade level no matter what the experts say.

I like to explain people pining for the old days via pop music.
You hear every song now. You only hear the classics from before. So old music seems to have had less shit. It didn't.

No. It's a fun film, but no.
Come at me.
No reason to come at you, really.
Just that I don't think that Star Trek Into Reboot is better than ALL the films combined. Certainly all of the TNG films, and most of the TOS ones. But II? IV? VI? No way.

I remember the good old days before we started recording history when every cave had its entrance unrocked and every caveman had his own raptor to ride.

I enjoyed most of the Star Trek films, but my measure of how much I like a film is how often can I watch it. I have 0 interest in watching most of the original films a second time. I would like to see VI again, and probably would watch II again, but I've seen the new Star Trek like 6 or 8 times and love it every time.
Outside with all the letters on your name, just letting you know that you are my best sniper in X-Com. Like you burn through enemies and have been nicknamed Omega, the end.

Same. I loved the new film but don't have the patience to do what it takes to actually become a Trekkie. I would like that title. Maybe I'll print myself a certificate and no one will know the difference.

By focusing all our attention on just a single curriculum that curriculum will become very good and everyone will benefit.
Therefore, all students shall attend 12th grade classes starting in Kindergarten and continuing on until they graduate high school.

I like that video taken from a meeting at some city council where the public was allowed to make arguments about gay marriage
and one dude got up and started spouting some typical fundie garbage about destruction of society, etc, until he slipped and said "removing racial segregation" instead of gay marriage
and he got confused, then said something about how his notes had gotten mixed up, and that all the things he had been saying were direct quotes from white preachers and politicians about how everything would collapse if we removed segregation, just switching the topic from that to gay marriage
It was pretty cool, and I would re-find it if I wasn't on my phone

This is the last one I post, I swear.

Not B, but "macerate"?
Are you sure it starts with B?

Now you've got men-women and duck-men and women-ducks running rampant, making a mockery of the values that my ancestors fought for
theoretically, I mean, my ancestors were mostly smart enough to work in industries that protected them from military service
But my point stands!

The problem is we're not drowning enough left-handed babies these days.
What the actual fuck.
Where's a girly girl when you need one?
Greenwashing. 'Tis bullshit.
This made angry and my brain hurt.
I are a lady. Whatcha need?

What?
It's 100% natural lemon and lime flavor.
And 100% natural 3000x your recommended daily value of sugar.

what is the topic in question?

a) finish it tonight after staying up too late
b) sleep and finish it tomorrow.

It's Diet 7UP, so I guess it uses some "natural" 0-cal fake sugar. Not exactly sure how that works, though.
We have bigger problems than they ever did. Like if you piss off the duck-men, Ironhoof comes and wrecks your shit. What a dick.
Y'know, it is possible to interpret this as a positive comic about how people have stopped listening to the "biblical" viewpoint on AIDS
