They weren't doing anything else with him except letting him gather virtual dust, why get upset over his reimagining for a cartoon
A lot of people care when a franchise they like gets content they dislike. (To be clear, I don't care enough about Mega Man to have feelings about this, beyond aesthetics opinions, but as a Metroid fan I definitely understand where fans are coming from).
its from the team that did Ben 10 which is a good show and thats just in their art style
Yes, an art style I do not like, when applied to Mega Man.
You don't like anything that doesn't look like the original
That's absolutely not true. Digimon Tri looks pretty good. A bunch of the non-Bay Transformers redesigns over the years have been fine. Ditto for the various animated Ninja Turtles. Most of Marvel's movie costumes have been great, sometimes because they deviated from the originals. Plenty of redesigns are very good. But also some are very bad.
this is not the first time something like this has been in kids media, not even close
kids shows sometimes simplify good and evel and saying that means they're making a statement that racism is good is super overblown
The movie should end with the red angry bird looking from pig to bird to pig to bird and becoming uncertain as to which was which.

Like, pigs emigrate to birdland, all the birds welcome them with open arms except the one angry racist who is ostracized for mistrusting them, then it turns out he was right all along
Even if it's not intentional
It's in magnificently poor taste considering the current global climate

Does the movie even try to show any good pigs?
or bad birds?
Does it not explore the idea that all peoples are made up of individuals some of which are good and some of which are bad
Like in the game you're clearly fighting a roving band that is running away with your young across an apocalyptic landscape, your own people so desperate to regain their children and continue their species that they literally destroy themselves in the effort, so it is somewhat excusable that they don't go in depth into the rich pig culture
but a movie being designed for children is no excuse, you don't have to be mindless when creating mindless entertainment

I don't know.
Bar bet?
(Man. I kinda miss the Archie Megaman comic. That was pretty decent.)
Why I fear the ocean.
That's a mega-relief
But then the comic would replace him with Samus being six foot of awesome rougishly charming bounty hunter. Swings. Roundabouts.
Why I fear the ocean.
It's been two days now since the NMS delay rumors but nothing
No word from Sony or Hello Games, no changed dates from retailers, including GameStop, where the source supposedly came from

And also, sorta who cares?

but for god sake, the protagonist's name of the mega man x series is X. that is the hill I will die on

It could have looked like the Mega Man from Powered Up
Well yeah, duh
... This is so wrong and bad and sad.
Yet also possibly the most likely to get us a new mega man game.
IT'S how we got a good new ratchet game
Shame the movie was apparently bad.
And now WarCraft is apparently bad.
And Assassin's Creed ain't looking too great.
...how was Angey Birds?
Weirdly political, from the sounds of it
Well they're angry.

well??
the answer is yes, racism is very good and we need to keep out the greedy pigs
aren't the pigs literally stealing and eating unhatched angry bird eggs
Just like the minorities are literally stealing and eating white babies
And replacing them with their own gay anchor babies yes
They're also blowing up the birds homes
the pigs are bad guys

Dorkly bits, seems topical.
