Dunno if I should put this here or in the college football thread but I did a full spit take on my computer desk just now listening to the Shutdown Fullcast's Cajun Robocop riff.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Bakalar's weird fucking insistence that online sports gambling people won't take you for everything you're worth "No, they can see you've bet x amount that past couple of week's they'll call you up to make sure everything is ok," is fucking........WOW.
I know he's the tech guy and might have some weird belief that eventually tech and numbers will solve everything but Jesus Christ dude.
It's kinda fuckin wild
Like, you could tell even Vinny was pretty flabbergasted

speaking from experience the only thing was if during a call they said the words "gambling problem" you were to immediately lock their account and begin the process of cashing them out.
Is Waypoint really doing a podcast one half discussing Hamilton and one half Knives Out and they DON’T talk about the joke about Hamilton in Knives Out??

This shitpost brought to you by me watching a bunch of Nora Vasconcellos clips on Youtube and thinking "She'd be a good personality to have in Skate 4."
I have seen this Lady and the Tramp around a lot and I must say two photorealistic dogs with locked eyes over a plate of food does not read as romantic to me that reads as precursor to vicious dog fight dogs are notoriously unromantic when the dogs are photorealistic there is no room in my mind for anything but stark dog fight reality

I feel like the New Day podcast is going to kill me. I shouldn’t be laughing so hard for how sick I am, but the show continually has my sides splitting.

how coherent is the new day podcast for people who don't follow wrestling
cause I like the new day as people but I know shit about the day-to-day goings on in WWE
They get inside baseball sometimes but go out if their way to explain stuff for listeners
A lot of it isn't wrestling at all, either. Last week they had Big E's college roommate on and it was just embarassing stories and dunks for like 2/3 of the show

Totes.
They have also had an episode that was just about the holidays which has little to do with wrestling. As well as an episode about injuries, and dealing with life going on while you’re hurt and what to do with yourself once you can no longer do what you want to, which I feel as a concept is very relatable.
Honestly if you have zero wrestling knowledge I feel the hardest part to follow is most likely when they talk about other wrestlers, cause that’s the one part they don’t give much explanation on.
I’m giving Friends At The Table another go with the new season, since Austin said it’s another good spot to jump on for new listeners.
Only a couple of episodes in so far, but I’m determined to at least get up to date this time before making a decision.
Spoiled for gripes
I’m still kinda running into the same issue as I’ve had on previous tries, in that I find Austin great to listen to while he’s monologuing, but the players themselves are so often borderline excruciating with how lackadaisical they sound.
Like, I figure I need to get used to the energy of the group, and that the game itself encourages players bouncing ideas around, but I’m just craving someone sounding confident in an idea from the get-go.
The thing that's messing me up about the new Friends at the Table season is that Stel Kesh is the one with a ruling bloodline of succession but Stel Nideo is the Stel that's named after a single person and not a planet.

you want a game full of Keiths is what you're saying
also I bounced hard on NADNDP. Call me a podcast elitist but I absolutely cannot vibe with actual plays that do murderhobos straight, FatT and Adventure Zone spoiled me, I need something that's more than just dice rolls, sex jokes and casual violence

I definitely had a thing with FatT where it took me a while to realize there might be people who I don't perceive to be embodying their characters very well but which act them exceptionally well
Ali and Jack, for instance, really commit to their characters as far as the choices they make in the world, but they don't really 'convey' their characters via emotion or tone as much as they do through gameplay
Art though is absolutely a person who emotes in wildly different ways depending on the character he plays; you can absolutely hear how different Grand Magnificent is to Sovereign Immunity just from the tone he uses, the idiosyncrasies of his speech patterns
and then there's Keith, who just plays different versions of Keith. Which is fine! Sometimes you just know you have a very particular thing you bring to whatever you do, but that thing is so good that it just works; it's the Jack Nicholson effect.

At what point does the waypoint spoilercast switch from Hamilton to Knives Out? I just want to skip to the Knives Out part.

Must have gotten like 6 inches of snow last night.
At least I have the third week in a row of flophouse episodes to enjoy in the warm comfy inside.
Also in coming down with a migraine all of a sudden. I can always tell from the aura in my left eye.

Yep, went to go work producing podcasts for the WWE, which is probably the least surprising thing possible, in retrospect.
