Meoscarada the unrivaled down in two attempts but only because the first one would not stop critting. Also various red blue and green shinies for people who do that kind of stuff.
So I know I can’t finish it but I have been working on my home Pokédex ( transferring them to home then back is really clunky Nintendo , just use my actual in game Pokédex ) and I’m up to 600 +. Man I’m really bummed out that I never downloaded Pokémon bank on my 3ds . I’d be much closer if I could use all the other Pokémon games I have . But that’s spilt milk , what’s important is I’ve found another reason to play violet some more .
Edit - I have finished the paldean section ! So all Gen 9 originals are registered . Will start going through the rest and filling what I can.
I pulled the immersive art Arceus in TCG Pocket and that feels really nice. Still don't really have the cards up for any of the new Meta decks but I'll get there.
On principle I will not do the all caught in the same region bullshit for some shiny pokemon .
I’m not sure what you are talking about man.
They're talking about the challenges for Home, where you have to complete the *regional* pokedexes. So not just have a Rattata, have one that you caught in Paldea, etc.
A while back they gave out a not-shiny-but-different-color Magearna for storing the National Pokedex (what everyone called the "living pokedex", having one of each pokemon actually present in Pokemon Home), and now there are challenges for doing the same, but wait! They have to be actually caught "fresh and wild" in their respective regions! For Scarlet/Violet that means all three in-game Pokedexes, then transferred to Home.
I also cannot be arsed to do it, having done the thing for Magearna.
These shiny mythical distributions miss the point of shinies entirely. It should be random chance within the regular distributions.
Hell they haven't even distributed non shiny zeraora outside of Japan. The non shiny is rarer at this point.
In fact get rid of Event only pokemon entirely. Which I guess they did with SV so keep it up.
Guys why the fuck are the interfaces for home on the switch and mobile completely fucking different ? On the switch all you see is Pokémon divided by game , in the mobile it gives you the actual Pokédex . wtf ….
My problem with Mega Evolution was that it was implemented as a flat +100 BST, however it was distributed, so while you could commit your team's sole precious Mega Evolution to, say, Beedrill, you could also commit it to a Pokemon that was already good, like Charizard or Lucario, and make them better.
Mega Evolution also predated the new Speed rules (where Speed changes live-update the turn order), so Pokemon that got a ton of Speed when they Mega Evolved would sometimes get blown up before they could move.

A Popular combo was Mega Garchomp who retained it's higher speed for the turn it mega evolved but also got the higher attack.
So yeah that usually hurt
This exchange right here is why Champions won’t be for me lol
Overall I didn't like Mega evolution because it wasn't every Pokemon and you needed to track down the megastone or whatever it was called and use up the item space and you had to know which specific Pokemon you wanted to Mega evolve in advance.
But I used a Mega Pinsir and a Mega Mawile back in the day because they are cool and awesome.
Since Pokemon in Legends ZA will not have abilities, Pinsir and especially Mawile will not be as good in that specific game unless something changes. Not that it matters, they'll still be cool and awesome.
They showed Mega Kangaskhan on screen, and its whole thing is the ability which lets the child attack too. I would assume we get Abilities until they specifically say we aren't.
the one shot 7 star strategy involves using Chi Yu and it was very fun to break that little fire fish out of mothballs this weekend. Very glad the rotation has started up again, there was nothing since the shiny Rayquaza raid for christmas.
Much as my first double Ex was Gallade for Space Time Smackdown so I ended up running that deck throughout, this time my first double Ex was Leafeon and I've found myself going back to the start and pairing it with Venusaur Ex.
If you pack in potions and Erikas, there's not much can chew through a fully armed and operational battle station Venusaur just heal tanking through everything.
Would be nice to put in an in game trade system, even if it is just with friends within PTCG, just a have/want for each rarity.
Anyway trying to complete 2-4 diamond space/time, just a few cards lefts to have 1 of each standard. Way too much of a pain to put in what I have, just PM I guess?

Oh really? Well ignore me then! I'm clearly behind on the trading meta.
I had really bad luck with Spacetime cards, so I was very happy when they added trading for it. I've now got at least one of all the one, two, and four diamonds, so I'll still struggle to make good decks from them, but at least my collection is looking nice. Can't afford to finish off the 3 diamonds yet.

I really recommend either the PTCGP reddit or the discord linked on that reddit. I don't have anything to trade to help you out myself, but if you ask on that discord you'll get a trade in about a minute.
I have discovered that getting a tie in TCG Pocket battles results in neither party getting exp from the battle. I guess their version of a tie means both parties lose.
For the 5 win Pocket event, Leafeon/Venusaur Ex wasn;t working out. Too liable to a bad opening hand. Went back to Gallade Ex/Lucario/Hitmonlee and got my wins in, though that might have just been lucky in not seeing too may Arceus Ex decks. That lad is a beast.
dear people who afk out: i really don't care how i win, holding the game open for a minute before i just get a defaulted victory means nothing to me. In these "win 5 in a row events", I prefer it!! You are not making me mad you are making me happy.
I’m trying to clear the optional missions attached to Expert Solo Battles and beating the Starmie ex & Greninja deck with an all fire deck is proving difficult.it
edit: I did it, due to good luck and strategic switching
got 4 wins legit, 5th win came from the guy never appearing and immediately got a "your opponent left" error message to clinch the 5/5. I will...take it.
I did the same thing I do most of these events: play 10 games, concede immediately, get all the rewards. I don't want to play PVP but I'll take those hourglasses, thank you very much, and 10 people got a free win.
Anyone have a good guide to the battling in Legends Arceus? I went back to it since I never did all the post-game stuff, but the final fight is kicking my butt. I just don't see how I can keep my opponent from revenge-KOing whatever I've got sent out. He can just send in a Pokemon that knows a super effective move, use Agile, and always gets 2 full SE attacks. How come I can't reliably get double attacks when I use an Agile move?
I managed to beat him once, but lost 3 of my team to do it. But then there's the back-to-back legendary fight with no break between to heal or revive, and said legendary can 2-shot anything on my team. I don't think I'm that underleveled, my team is all between level 65 and 70. Is the solution simply that I have to level grind a bunch?
All this stuff was probably explained earlier in the game, but I haven't played it since launch.

Legends Arceus has its own EV system, using grit to level the stats. If your Pokemon's stats haven't been maxed out, you can use grit dust/pebbles etc to make them stronger.
You can turn on the turn order so it's visible during the fight and you actually check how agile/strong changes who will attack next. Agile doesn't always guarantee a second move.
Also, I don't know if you're someone who doesn't use items during battle, but you should definitely use healing items in battle.

Yeah, I spent almost all my grit on beefing up my team after I got wrecked the first time. I guess it helped, since I had half my team after the first part on my second attempt.
Honestly it just feels like Legends is rocket tag. I have a freakin' Steelix on my team, which you'd think would be able to take hits the way it can in regular games, so I can spend a couple turns and heal up. But even non-SE hits do so much damage to a maxed-out Steelix that I can't buy more than a turn or two. And it's level 70, which is the same level as the final fight, so I can't be but so underleveled.

The combat in Legends always felt a bit weird to me. Everything is fragile, and levels don't seem especially important, so your level 50 can get quite hurt by level 10 pokemon. Every major fight seems to devolve into 'I take out yours, then your replacement takes out mine, then my replacement takes out yours...'
And for a generally easy, kid friendly game, yeah that last battle is tough. I think I cleared it by having one particularly beefy pokemon (who could survive 2, maybe 3 hits!) I'd put out near the end, then spam revives and heals on my others.
