Oh, I just remembered. I was awarded "Nicest Kid in Class" (an actual award that was sponsored by some lady, it was totally dumb and I hate that school), in grades 6 and 7. There was one kid who totally hated me for it "He's not nice he's just quiet!" He stated this same opinion of me in grade 11 during an English class.

I'm actually pretty self-concious about my voice. I occasionally hear an echo of myself during voicechat, finding out I sound differently than what I thought I sounded like is really weird.
Ah, don't worry, sounds fine to me. I don't like my voice much either, not many people do!

I was like "....is....is this what Uni's like? Getting yelled at by girls?"
Actually, that is a good part of it
On an opposite note
While I was in college I was listening to a lecture on something
But seats ran out and I gave mine to this rather large Goth looking girl and sat on the floor
She seemed pretty grateful and I struck me that maybe people doing nice things for her wasn't a frequent occurrence in her life
I do the basic stuff
Holding doors open for people
Saying thank you to waitstaff, cashiers, whoever. If they did something for me, then I thank them.
Occasionally someone will drop something on their way off the ferry. If I see them I'll grab it and give it to them.
After I moved here, I decided to return the uhaul all by myself. I figured I could just bus/walk back home afterwards. With somewhat of a plan, I drove to the uhaul place. On the way there, I noticed that the road I was driving on was really narrow. No real shoulder. This was the road I would have to walk on to get to the main road where a bus stop might be.
I get a little stupid when I want to be all independent.
After returning the uhaul, I asked the lady if there was a bus stop around here. Saying I didn't realize how narrow the road here was, so my plan of walking out to the main street didn't seem too smart anymore. She said no. I then asked if she had a phone book so I could call a cab. Instead she went and talked with an older gentleman who I guess hung out at the shop a bunch. He was heading out in the direction of my apartment shortly and offered me a lift.
They all seemed too friendly to turn down so I graciously accepted and got dropped off a few blocks from my apartment. Thanked the guy a bunch.
Oh man, my first roommates. They were a... mixed bag...
Considering the other stories you've been posting that sounds particularly ominous
Altough my first roommate was none other than HeavyVillain.
I'll let that sink in
One guy would go out at 8am on a Saturday morning to start drinking ahead of a West Ham match. He'd come back nearly 24 hours later on the Sunday morning singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles" and he'd usually be covered in cuts. He wouldn't go to sleep straight away though. He'd sit on the sofa and as the various toxins in his body wore off he'd start talking about how much he wanted to change, and hated his life. He'd then snake off to bed and you wouldn't see him until Tuesday.
But I'd known the guy since we were kids so I knew what to expect. Ah, East London, how I miss you.
I think I'm a pretty OK person. However, I think I messed up with this girl I like and I'm afraid there is no way for reconciliation and that's lame but I'll just keep truckin' keep truckin' study study me some school

I often feel a little lonely when the forums are down for an extended period.

Or am I?
I don't have steam turned on, it was too much of distraction when I should be working to babble away to people!
I hate all of you.
We're trying to be nice!

It happened on my first day of university, on the way to my first ever lecture.
I was like "....is....is this what Uni's like? Getting yelled at by girls?"
:cries:
But yeah, anyway.
Tasty gave me a compliment yesterday which was really nice. But she totally caught me off guard and I almost forgot to get into the elevator.
Compliments are nice.
Hehe, how dare you have manners?
Aww, fair enough. I guess.
I was always the quiet kid too, I never got awarded anything. Burning with jealousy here.

Once Mother's Day and my exams and stuff are over I'll be about.

Perhaps you ought to be realistic and keep your feet on the floor.
Although considering how long you spend standing around I think that happens already
Me too, me too. Hopefully I'll get lucky and find someone/some people who are okay.

Every time you say "Oh ho!" I imagine you rapping someone's shoulder with a fan or something.
I really hope that this happens.

So we have met before.
Haha, I won't spoil the image then.

Oh if only I'd known!
I'd like to live on my own or with roommates similar to me. I've not had much luck so far. Only 8 months to go here!
Why, did something happen?

I've been accused of sounding both English and American before.
Most perturbing for a Scotsman to be told such things.
