Anytime her mother reassures her: This is fine.
The duel actually makes sense in Suletta's very twisted brainwashed doesnt understand real humans pov. Shes a broken person, it makes sense to her.
Also it worked cos one of them is her Biggest Fan and doesnt really wanna kill her, so it got her out of an immediate death situation. Shes nowhere near Aerial and cannot fight on foot. Any other choice is death here.
Her broken doesnt understand reality mindset accidentally saved her life.
So I’m up to date on gwitch but started watching the English dub with my partner and I don’t hate suletas voice like I thought I would after that first clip came out. I kinda forgot that was just a scene where she’s freaking out and it didn’t represent a normal sample.
Cheat skill in another world ep 2 is interesting because they did an extensive background check on mains entire family and know this kid was severely abused his entire life and its heavily implied none of the people at this new school would have treated him any different if he was still fat.
Its actually a little unnerving how good they are at showing the psychology of an abused person who's finally free of that life

Is that implied? I could certainly believe it, but the Dean was going on and on about how all the students were selected for admission because of their superior character, not abilities, and how the school values character above all else. At the very least the Dean's daughter recognized the MC immediately after his transformation (which reminded me of another anime about someone who slims down, Kiss Him, Not Me. The character that wins the MC's heart in the end is the only one that recognized the MC before they were skinny).
I agree about the second part. The MC has so thoroughly internalized that everyone he meets is disgusted by him and hates him instinctively that he views all conversations with other people through the lens of "I'm sorry for troubling this person who hates me with existence. What can I say to not offend them and end the conversation quickly without them blowing up on me?" Fantasy wish-fulfilment aside, they've gotten the psychological profile spot on.
Episode 2 stuff:
I about got diabetes from the sweetness during the crepe date. And judging by all the onlookers' reactions, that was the intended outcome.
This Otaku Elf show...I'm not sure about it. I might try a few more episodes, but it seems kinda mediocre. I will admit, I wasn't expecting an Abunai Sisters reference in 2023.
Once the ED is on YouTube, definitely check that out though. It looks like they recreated the elf's room IRL, with physical copies of all her fake Gundams and everything.

Rebuild of Eva 3+1 was genuinely kind of impressive in how much it felt like a final capstone on all of Evangelion
like I don't know if that movie lands the same way if you're new to the franchise and watching all at once, but with >15 years of buildup like I had, it hit like a goddamn freight train
I legitimately teared up watching parts of Eva 3+1, it was the ending to Eva that the series had deserved for decades and it finally got it.
But I also like 3.33 so clearly my bias is very strong lol
oh yeah I cried hard watching 3+1 because well, after that I genuinely don't know if I can ever revisit Eva - it's like the true pacifist ending of Undertale, the characters are happier if that stone is left un-turned
if I do ever revisit Eva it'll probably be to finish the manga, which is actually my favorite version of the core events of the story but also one I never actually finished because I stopped being able to find the English language volumes at my library

I feel like they could've cut out 90% of the esoteric hoopla and just went straight to the end there. All the emotional hits happen in the middle around the village and then right at the very end. Everything else was just headscratching bullshit.

On a related note, I started showing my friend Twin Peaks: The Return, and he's fully convinced it's about a Human Instrumentality Project using Cooper instead of Shinji, and it's hard to say he's wrong.

They are in fact the same writer. I remain convinced that the tight number of episodes has been nothing but a boon to G-witch, forcing it to focus on the important beats (and saving budget for when it's needed)

Careful with that, there's some stuff in it that has absolutely not aged well.
Kanojo mo Kanojo is apparently officially ending with chapter 144.
140 just came out in Japan this week, so 4 left.
Shame we're just getting a speedrun of adding Shino and Mirika to the poly relationship and then immediately ending instead of showing that relationship.

Classic rom com. Nothing to explore in a dating relationship. 🙃

That's actually changing somewhat lately, which is why it's disappointing this one is immediately ending.
List of recent manga off the top of my head where the main characters actually started dating and the series still continued (not counting series where they are already dating in the first chapter):
(Don't click if you're reading a romcom manga and aren't caught up)
Dangers in My Heart
Don't Toy with Me, Nagatoro (basically, if not quite officially yet)
Hitomi-chan is Shy with Strangers
Kaguya-sama: Love is War
Komi Can't Communicate
Shed Ryugasaki-san
Sometimes Even Reality is a Lie
Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out
Yancha Gal no Anjou-san
(A yuri series by the Jahy-sama author whose title might get me in trouble)
There's also the odd situation of Cuckoo's Fiancé where the main guy has started dating the best girl, but she's possibly not the endgame girl which will suck.
So does this seem to confirm that the Gundam bits (and Suletta) are all probably Eri clones?
Also the part that starts at 45 seconds where Suletta has her hair down and is controlling the bits herself without Aerial is really great and I really hope it happens in the show as well.

In the sense that it's various images drawn on paper, sure
I maintain the 2nd movie was a blatant cash grab, but it sure did end up pretty.

"Call my therapist. Tell him he's a rich man."
Marginal Service is like 500% more serious than the promos let on. It's basically Men In Black, if the MIB were sentai dressed like fire fighters.
And then the ending of the episode is a montage with the announcer from Smash Brothers screaming everybody's names.
