The fact that it has to be on the same system is so crazy that I think its a reasonable assumption that it might not work

Theres save backup.
And it was miserable. Theyve been improving it steadily. Games will eventually be tied to your nnid not a console.

Most jrpgs I've played I find ether to be pretty useless. I don't use spells enough to absolutely need to reload my mp

I was selling my ethers to monsters even before I found a way to generate mana for free.
Equip someone with a staff and the Blessed shield. Using the shield to cast Cura counts towards the staff special. Do it ten times, then unload the Rejuvenation special with the mana restore add-on and, presto! Free heals and free mana.
I've also been using the Sage's Staff, so I rarely use Phoenix Downs, Raise, Potions or Cure.
As an aside, if you don't need the shield, dual wield a rod and a staff, Jim Darkmagic style, and your cure spells will count toward the rod special attacks.
I got the summoner class last night. Is it worth leveling? This game is making it really hard to not engage in my grinding tendencies. I just see all those jobs I haven't leveled and start to twitch...
summon feels too slow to clean up random encounters and too expensive for most bosses. on the plus side it is the only mage with access to all five elements. I paired it with time mage because comet does holy FUCK levels of damage to single targets
you can turn off exp to grind jobs up so you won't get overleveled
Just beat the ninja, that fight was kinda tough. Worst part, though, was that fucking Ringabel died right before I killed her, and it wasn't quite worth redoing the fight so he could get the crazy amount of xp and jp. It was SO ANNOYING.
Goddamn Ringabel, he dies so much you'd think he was made of glass

I sold a bunch of items to random enemies and then bought some angel bow and now ringabel one shots everything as a thief
pirate seems kind of meh. 1/4 of your mp for double damage? you would run out of mana way too quick for that to ever be useful

I'm confused by the weapons and such in this game. Using daggers on tiz as a thief I'd sometimes be hitting for decent amounts.. then suddenly hitting 5 times for 1 damage.. I was.. confused so I just switched to spell fencer.

I use magic a whole lot. Especially with giving all my people mage like sub classes so they can cast healing stuff
